1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how InterveU IQ(the “Platform,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by SG Consultants LLC, collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information. It also describes the rights you have over your data.

This Policy applies to all visitors and users of the Platform, including those who only browse without submitting content. By using the Platform, you acknowledge the practices described here.

This Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.

2. Who We Are and How to Contact Us

For privacy-specific inquiries, please contact team@interveuiq.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.”

3. Our Privacy Posture, In Plain Language

Before the legal detail, here is what you should know in plain terms:

  • All submissions are anonymous in public view. Your name is never displayed alongside your submission.
  • We verify identity for trust, not for display. We collect a verified email and require LinkedIn OAuth to ensure submitters are real professionals. Your verified identity is stored privately and never shown to other users or to companies.
  • We collect the minimum we need.Beyond verification credentials and your submission content, we collect only what’s necessary to run the Platform and comply with the law. Some optional fields (like demographic information) help us understand the candidate population at an aggregate level. You can skip these entirely.
  • We don’t sell your personal data.We don’t trade it to advertisers.
  • You have meaningful control. You can access, correct, delete, or export your data.

4. Information We Collect

4.1 Information you provide directly

  • Account and verification data: your email address (verified via confirmation link) and LinkedIn profile information obtained via OAuth, limited to the scopes required to confirm professional identity.
  • Submission content: the text, ratings, structured chip selections, free-text fields, and other data you provide when describing an interview experience, plus any optional file attachments.
  • Optional demographic information: submitter level and gender, if you choose to share these. Both are optional.
  • Feedback submissions: information you provide via the Tell us page, including questions, feedback, or issues with the platform, plus optional attachments and your email if you choose to share it for follow-up.
  • Correspondence: emails and messages you send us and our responses.

4.2 Information we collect automatically

  • Usage and device data: IP address (collected automatically via server logs; used for rate limiting, fraud detection, and security; not displayed), browser type, operating system, and device type (derived from the standard HTTP user-agent header).
  • Cookies: strictly necessary cookies (session and authentication state). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels for ad targeting.

4.3 Information we generate

  • AI-generated summaries:synthesized text derived from one or more submissions (the “Summary of one experience” and “Summary across experiences” features).
  • Aggregated company scores:derived from individual ratings combined with other users’ ratings.
  • Internal trust and moderation flags: e.g., AI moderation results that flag a name during submission, even if you, the submitter, accepted the suggestion.

4.4 Information we do not collect

We do not collect your contact list, calendar, browsing history outside the Platform, precise geolocation, or access your social media feeds, posts, or activity beyond the profile data LinkedIn shares with us during sign-in. We do not collect financial information unless and until paid features launch (none at this time).

5. How We Use Your Information

To operate the Platform: authenticate you, display your submissions anonymously, aggregate ratings into company scores, generate AI summaries, and power customer support.

To verify identity and prevent fraud: confirm submitters are real professionals, detect duplicate accounts, fake submissions, retaliatory reviews, harassment, and other abuse, and apply rate limits and security measures.

To improve the Platform: analyze aggregated usage, and calibrate our scoring methodology, AI moderation, and AI summaries against real-world performance.

To communicate with you: send transactional emails (submission receipts, edit magic links, account verification), respond to Tell us submissions and other correspondence, and send service-related announcements. We will not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.

To enforce our Terms: investigate violations, respond to notice-and-takedown requests, and comply with legal obligations, court orders, and lawful requests from authorities.

6. How We Share Your Information

6.1 Anonymous submission content is public

The text, ratings, and structured data of your submission are displayed publicly on the Platform, without your name and without information that would re-identify you. AI-generated summaries derived from all applicable submission(s) are also displayed publicly without your name and without information that would re-identify you.

6.2 Service providers

We share data with third-party service providers who help us operate the Platform, including: Supabase (backend database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Resend (transactional email), Cloudflare (email routing, DNS), LinkedIn (identity verification), and AI providers for moderation and summaries. Each provider is contractually limited to processing your data on our behalf for stated purposes.

6.3 Legal requirements

We may disclose your information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, court order, or government request; to enforce our Terms; to protect safety; or to investigate fraud or security incidents.

6.4 What we never do

  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
  • We do not share your verified identity with the companies you have reviewed.
  • We do not share your contact information with employers, recruiters, or advertisers.

6.5 Aggregated and anonymized data

We may share aggregated, anonymized data (such as industry-level interview statistics, hiring trend data, or research insights) for research, partnership, or commercial purposes. This data does not identify individual submitters and does not contain personal information. Aggregated and anonymized data is treated separately from personal data under applicable privacy laws.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Regardless of where you live, you may:

  • Access the data we hold about you in human-readable form.
  • Correct inaccurate data we hold about you.
  • Delete your account and associated data (subject to retention requirements below).
  • Export your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent to optional data uses at any time.

To exercise these rights, email team@interveuiq.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will respond within thirty (30) days.

7.1 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act, including the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising (we do not sell or share for this purpose), limit use of sensitive personal information, and non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

7.2 EEA, UK, and Swiss residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation and the UK GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The Platform is currently US-first; if you access from these regions, your rights remain available.

7.3 Limits on deletion

When you delete your account, we delete your verification credentials and anonymize identifying metadata in our records. Your published submissions may remain on the Platform in anonymized form because the submission content was always anonymous and its removal would distort company scores. You may request removal of specific submissions on a case-by-case basis.

8. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)

The Platform is intended for users eighteen (18) years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may prevent the Platform from functioning correctly (you may not be able to log in or maintain a session). We respect Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where technically feasible.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. Verification credentials are retained until account deletion. Published submissions remain as part of the Platform’s content corpus, subject to user-requested removal under Section 7, platform removal under our community guidelines, or legal compulsion. Audit and moderation logs are retained indefinitely for legal and accountability purposes. Server access logs are retained for ninety (90) days.

11. International Data Transfers

The Platform’s primary infrastructure is hosted in the United States (North Virginia, us-east-1). If you access the Platform from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer.

12. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), encryption at rest for sensitive data, role-based access control, code review of all changes touching user data, and contractual security obligations on service providers. A formal third-party security audit is planned post-launch. No system is perfectly secure. If you become aware of a security incident or vulnerability, contact team@interveuiq.com.

13. AI and Automated Processing

During submission, AI may suggest you replace names with role descriptors, rephrase fact-claims into experiential framing, or moderate elevated language. All AI suggestions require your affirmative acceptance. You can decline any AI suggestion and your original text will publish as written.

For company pages, AI generates summaries of one or more submissions. The summaries are platform-authored text labeled as such. We do not use your submissions to train third-party large language models. AI providers used for moderation and summarization are contractually limited from training on your data.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email (where provided) or by prominent notice on the Platform. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.

15. How to File a Complaint

Contact us first at team@interveuiq.com. If unresolved, California residents may file a complaint with the California Privacy Protection Agency or the California Attorney General. EEA/UK/Swiss residents may file a complaint with their local data protection supervisory authority.
